Updated: Nov 28

🧩 Information on Parent-child centers

Parent‑child centers in Taipei are free, government-run spaces located in every major district: offering safe, themed indoor play areas and age‑appropriate activities for families. Because demand is high, it’s best to reserve a spot via the “台北通” app or website (see Taipei Parenting portal) ahead of time, or arrive early and queue for walk‑in spaces.

Note on eligibility: most centers require residents to register with a Taipei City account. Holders of ARC (Alien Resident Certificate) can also reserve and visit. Passport‑only visitors may not be eligible, bring your ARC or National ID/NHI card when registering.

ℹ️ Important Notes:

  1. Target: Children under 6 years old (not yet in elementary Grade 1).

  2. Each child must be accompanied by at least 1 caregiver, max. 2 caregivers. Caregivers must be 18 years or older.

  3. Be there on time. Late arrivals will not be admitted.

  4. Adults and kids will need to wear socks, toddlers can go barefoot (depending on each center's requirements).
