Do you enjoy watching movies as a family? 🥳 If the answer is yes, we’ve put together a list of recommendations for you below!
It’s well known that illustrated storybooks and books in general help us understand or learn difficult concepts, reflect, empathize, or adopt new perspectives on important life topics. But... did you know that movies can too? There are many studies on how movies influence our lives and those of our children—for better or worse. That’s why we’ve gathered a list of films that not only offer positive messages or lessons, but are also enjoyable for everyone, regardless of age!
And in a world where it’s increasingly common to choose an "individual screen"—whether it’s to watch something, play games, do work, on personal phone/tablets—it’s worth making the effort to seek out those shared family moments. The ones where we laugh together at a movie, where everyone remembers a funny or touching scene, and then we talk about which part we liked most or what made us think… These are simple moments, but truly meaningful. 💛
Whether it’s for tradition, fun, quality time, or a chance to intentionally share a positive message, family movie time is undoubtedly something that will stay in our memories for years to come.

Parental Guidance
While each movie has its own rating (G, PG, PG-13, etc.), these can also vary depending on the country you're in. But if, despite the rating, you still have doubts about a specific movie, I recommend looking up the title on this parent guide website: Common Sense Media.
IMDB also has a “Parent Guide” section. Type in the title of the movie you're looking for and scroll down until you find the section:

Alternatively, you can also ask Chatpgt or other AI platforms for a synopsis and parents guide summary.
